Help Me Create My Next Album, LATE

Hi, I'm Erik Falskow.

I'm a saxophonist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Oslo, Norway.

Over the past several years, I've contributed to more than 120 released recordings, worked with artists across jazz, pop, hip-hop, and soul, and participated in projects that have accumulated more than 30 million Spotify streams.

Now I'm creating my most personal project yet, "LATE." Late is a saxophone-driven album exploring themes of timing, emotional growth, and human connection. The music blends jazz improvisation with modern soul, contemporary songwriting, and atmospheric production.

Many of these compositions have already been tested and refined through live performances in Oslo, allowing audiences to help shape the music before it enters the studio.

This album represents an important step in my evolution as an artist following my debut solo album, For All The Cats.

Why This Music Matters

My musical voice was shaped by two very different environments:

The expressive traditions of Black Baptist church music in the United States and years of live performance where music functioned as direct communication between musicians and audiences.

Those experiences taught me that great music isn't about complexity alone. It's about connection.

My goal with Late is to create instrumental music that feels accessible, emotional, and deeply human.
